ConsultJR Assists Pensar and SEQWater On HV Switchboard Upgrade

ConsultJR provided detailed electrical design and engineering services for a major electrical infrastructure upgrade at this critical Water Treatment Plan. An ageing 11kV switchboard was replaced with a new, state of the art, arc-fault containment switchboard in a re-purposed switchroom. Operators interface remotely with the switchboard via a dedicated PLC/HMI located in an adjacent LV switchroom which also houses UPS and general LV power distribution equipment. There were significant challenges in ensuring the new equipment interfaced with legacy control and electrical systems around the plant. ConsultJR's experience with electrical infrastructure projects requiring integration of diverse electrical, instrumentation and control systems was critical to the successful delivery of this project.
